Well that's the end of summer, the little bug woke up at 1am the other night as she was cold so the 1 tog gro-bags are back out. Thankfully the days, when dry, are just right. Last week we had a few really hot days so Lydibug finally got to use her paddling pool. Unfortunately we only have a hand pump so it took me nearly 2 hours to set up, but it was worth it to watch her have 5 mins of fun. But once again the box proved to be much more interesting. Here is few recent pics of Lydi and her precious boxes.

The squeaky pool box.
Baskets are just as much fun too. |
She is having a great time pushing things around the house, be it chairs, stools or a potty. I think she enjoys the noise it makes on the wooden floor. As soon as she is left to stand on her own though she slowly lowers herself to the floor, but will happily do lap after lap of the house if she has something to hold on to. Lydibug has finally discovered drawers, she loves emptying them out and sometimes, if I'm lucky, she'll throw everything back in.

We have a few new words to add to her vocabulary, 'bye', 'Daddy' and the most frequent 'uh-oh'. I'm still waiting to hear 'Mummy', haven't even had a 'Mama' in ages but I do get some fantastic sloppy kisses and cuddles. Lydi still loves music and singing, her favourite at the moment is e-i-e-i-e-i-e-i, we haven't quite mastered the o.
Daddy and I have had some tough decisions to make and it looks like I will have to return to work full time. I'm just so pleased that I got to have this time at home with my gorgeous girl, and I'm sure it'll be harder for me than it is for her. But at least with being a teacher there are plenty of holidays to enjoy and I'm going to be super organised so I get as much as possible done at school. Right, change of subject as my eyes are getting watery at the thought of it.
With summer ending here it must be coming into spring back home. Not many spring flowers here so to end here's a pic of my little daffodil. She did have a little orange nose but that didn't last too long and that tongue!!!! At baby class there was a photographer taking pictures for their new website and she posed beautifully, whichever way she pointed her camera Lydibug was trying to get into the shot. Will let you know if the photos are used on the website.
And if you haven't already don't forget to vote for Lydi in the Bonds competition.
Oh Lucy, I'm sorry to hear that you have to go back to work. When will you start and will it be the same school you worked at before you had Lydi? I've been struggling to cope with work lately, because I want to be home with Milly and Lyle, but at least I can tell myself it's only for another 4 months. Being pregnant and not having my own house to come home to isn't helping my situation so maybe it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be. I really hope it works out ok for you and Lydi will be absolutely fine and soooooooo excited to see you every afternoon! Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks.
